NSW YOUNG JUDGES & PARADERS
The Young Judges and Paraders Competition is a national competition designed to recognise and support the best new talent in judging and parading. The competition is entered at a Group Level, with winners progressing to a State Final held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and then winners have the opportunity to progress to the National Championships held at a Royal Show within Australia or New Zealand. National Young Judges and Paraders Competition entrants must be at least 15 years of age and less than 25 years of age on the 1st of May in the year of competition.
The competition provides a coveted opportunity to grow personally and professionally by practising skills and challenging yourself in communication, public speaking and breed and industry specific knowledge. There are nine categories for judging and parading in the National Competition including beef cattle judging, dairy cattle judging, merino sheep judging, meat sheep breeds judging, merino fleece judging, beef cattle parading, dairy cattle parading, poultry judging, and grain judging.
The Group 9 Final is held preceding the Cootamundra Show in conjunction with AgShows NSW. The State Final is held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in conjunction with AgShows NSW and the RAS of NSW. The National Finals are facilitated by Agricultural Shows Australia in partnership with the host state and Royal Show. The winners have the opportunity to then progress to the National Championships held at a Royal Show within Australia or New Zealand. National Young Judges and Paraders Competition entrants must be at least 15 years of age and less than 25 years of age on the 1st of May in the year of competition.
